The fabric and dress colour are exactly as advertised. I'm usually a Size 20 in City Chic clothing but had to size up to a 22 for this dress to fit. It only just fits me because I am wider around the waist - I'm more of an apple shape as opposed to pear. If I went up again in size, I think it would have been too big around the shoulders.
